Internal gear pump for chemical and process industries

SPX Process Equipment has added a new model called TopGear MAG to its Johnson Pump range.

The, seal-less and leak-proof, TopGear MAG is designed for the chemical and process industries which require the safe transfer of corrosive, toxic or expensive liquids.

TopGear MAG internal gear pumps are magnetically driven so they are seal-less by design and specifically developed for handling low or high viscosity hazardous or toxic liquids, or for liquids which are problematic to seal off. The pumps provide a maximum capacity of 80m³/h, a maximum differential pressure of 16 bar and can operate on liquids with a maximum temperature of 250°C.

SPX Process Equipment says that total containment of the liquid inside the pump is achieved using a hermetically sealed can, which effectively isolates the liquid from the surrounding environment. This eliminates the need for shaft seals and the associated wear and leakage that would normally occur.
