DC drives added to miniature air pump range

Iwaki America Inc of Holliston, Massachusetts, USA, has expanded its miniature gas/liquid diaphragm pumps range by adding four DC drives that are designed for OEM applications.

Good dry and wet self-priming characteristics combined with a unique solids-handling capability make this pump suitable for use in analyser systems, claims the company. It has a maintenance-free design and compact DC configurations which reportedly allows the pump to be mounted directly where it is needed, in any orientation.

The valve and diaphragm designs on the newly-introduced sizes allow them to be used in OEM systems where pumps supply and evacuate both liquids and gases.

The APN Series is a line of motor-driven diaphragm pumps with OEM models designed to handle liquids and gases. It includes both single-head and dual-head designs, and a variety of motor and connection options. Applications for the APN range include flue gas analysers, liquid chromatography, vacuum de-gasification, tissue analysers, de-aeration, sterilisers, dispensing and waste collection.
