New version of 'Classic' rotary lobe pump

Johnson Pump UK has developed the Classic+ rotary lobe pump, a new version of its Classic pump. The Classic+ is now of modular construction, with improved gearbox integrity making it simpler to service and maintain. It has universal four-way mounting and reversible operation and is suitable for CIP/SIP and manual strip cleaning. It is fully ATEX-compliant, with tamper-proof guarding for added safety.

The Classic+ pump achieves universal mounting by using bolt-on feet that allow the ports to be aligned either horizontally or vertically to suit the application. The rotorcase profile and geometry allow for complete self-draining of the pump when mounted with the ports in the vertical position, and the fitting of jackets can warm or cool the pump in operation, as required by the process and the characteristics of the fluid being pumped. There are options for enlarged ports for high viscosity fluids, and a variety of seals and drives.

The pump is available in a wide range of displacements for virtually every application including pumping sensitive foodstuffs such as soups and sauces, pharmaceuticals, personal care products.
