ITT appoints new president of fluid technology

Gretchen McClain is to succeed Henry Driesse as president of ITT’s fluid technology group. John Williamson will replace McClain as president, residential and commercial water. Both appointments will take effect on 1st April.

“Gretchen McClain has a proven track record of achievement as a leader, both at ITT and elsewhere, and she is well positioned to lead this critical group of businesses,” he added. She joined ITT in 2005 as president, residential and commercial water. Prior to that, she served as
vice president and general manager of the aviation, helicopter and commercial electronics systems group for Honeywell Corp.

“After a distinguished and a very successful 26-year career with ITT, Hank Driesse indicated to me his desire to retire this year. Hank has done an excellent job in leading our effort to implement a global water strategy over the last two years, and prior to that he was instrumental in growing and leading our defense business,” said Steven R. Loranger, chairman, president and CEO of ITT.

John Williamson has served as ITT’s vice president and director, operational excellence since July 2005. He joined ITT from Danaher Corp where he was senior VP of global operations for their electric test platform (Fluke Corporation).
