Grundfos appoints new group president
The board of Grundfos management has announced that acting group president Carsten Bjerg has been appointed CEO and group president of Grundfos.
Bjerg joined Grundfos Management 10 years ago, and has been a member of group management since 2000 and vice group president since January 2003. He was appointed acting group president in 2006 after the departure of Jens Jørgen Madsen in November.
As vice president, Bjerg was responsible for group production and research and development. His contribution to the Grundfos Group's continued growth includes the special innovation process that was started in 2006, Grundfos says.
"The board is sure that the appointment of Carsten Bjerg will enable us to continue full speed ahead towards even greater integration of sustainability in the Grundfos business - [...] a Grundfos that in the coming years will shape its course for a wider business platform with new and interesting business areas within environmental technology," a company press release said.
