Ingersoll-Rand to acquire air solutions specialist

Ingersoll-Rand has signed an agreement to purchase Italy 's Officine Meccaniche Industriali srl (OMI), creating a fully comprehensive offering for the global air solutions market. OMI is a leading European provider of compressed-air treatment equipment which develops and manufactures refrigerated and adsorption air dryers, filters, condensation management products, heat exchangers, chillers, and system controllers for compressed air systems for a variety of industrial applications.

With this acquisition, Ingersoll Rand will complete its range of compressed air systems and offer a range of products and services, under the two brands, in the global air solutions market, the company says.
