Severn Glocon Group acquires valve consultancy

UK valve specialist Severn Glocon Group plc has acquired Design Paradigm Ltd, a specialist engineering design and analysis consultancy with a special focus on the valve industry.

Design Paradigm has over seventy years of experience within the fluid handling industries and has accumulated a vast knowledge of valve, process and ancillary equipment and a successful track record of project implementation in related industry sectors, Severn Glocon says.

"The growth of the Severn Glocon Group is looking beyond our established valve business. The Design Paradigm acquisition will form the platform for the development of a project design and management division, operating independently of the group's valve companies to actively support project developments within our core oil, gas and nuclear markets," said Colin Findlay, director and general manager for Severn Unival Ltd, a subsidiary of Severn Glocon.
