Valve for longer life

CRANE ChemPharma Flow Solutions has designed a valve which aims to increase the life of PTFE diaphragms in all air-operated diaphragm pumps.

The DEPA® Slow Start Valve, says the company, reduces wear and downtime by controlling the initial start-up speed of air operated diaphragm pumps, and decreases shock and stress levels placed upon equipment. A simple adjustment on the valve allows air to gently feed into the pump while greatly improving suction lift.

Sales manager, David Lindsay, said: “Installation is straight forward, and can be easily retro-fitted to existing installations. Many of our current customers in the pharmaceutical industry are now realising the financial and operational benefits of the new valve as it can be used across all applications."
