Voith Siemens Hydro opens Canadian head office

Hydropower specialist Voith Siemens Hydro has inaugurated its new Canadian head office in Brossard, Québec, along with a manufacturing plant in Mississauga, Ontario.

"With the inauguration of a Canadian head office on the Montréal South Shore, we can proudly state that we are present in all major hydro power markets in the world," claimed Denys Turcotte, president and CEO of the company in Canada.

"Canada is a top hydro power producer and Québec is a world leader in the field; therefore, it is only natural that Voith Siemens Hydro would choose to set up shop here," said Mr. Jörg Metger, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Montréal, who was present at the inauguration.

Voith Siemens Hydro Power Generation is a Group Division of Voith and had an order intake of around 720 million Euro in the past business year.
