Multichopper for handling waste streams

Australasian pump supplier Pump Systems Ltd has introduced the Multichopper, designed for the inline macerating of fibres, rags and ropey materials that can clog down stream pipe systems and valves in a wide range of local authority and industrial applications.

The fluid/solid mixture flows from one side to the other side of the macerator and can be installed in front of a positive displacement pump.

Heavy solids such as stone can accumulate in the lower compartment of the unit and can be removed through the side mounted cleaning port, the company says. Other solids flowing with the fluid penetrate the screen shear plate and the double knife action helps ensure good macerating results.
