Varisco celebrates 75 years

Centrifugal pump specialist Varisco SpA is celebrating its 75th birthday with new developments in China and the US.

The company has set up a new office and assembly facility near Tianjing, China. "This is our first venture into this country and is part of our growing interest in the Asia-Pacific region. Assembly will begin at the end of the year and the facility will make all the components of Varisco's self-priming pumps," says Andrew Walker, Business Development Manager of Varisco S.p.A.
 
The company has also established a company, Varisco USA Inc,  near Detroit, Michigan to help develop the distribution of its products in the US and Canada in the Industrial and Waste Treatment markets. For the first time, pumps and motors will be available in one unit, along with service and maintenance. "A whole product offering is particularly suitable for the North American market," says Walker.
 
According to Walker, a future key market for the company is sewage and wastewater. "It's a growing market and one in which Varisco, with its range of surface and submersible pumps, can succeed." he says. Over the next two years the company plans to complete its range of surface and submersible pumps for sewage and wastewater.
