New series of dry pit submersibles
Mody Pumps, Inc will be launching its new MSP series of dry pit submersible pumps for the wastewater industry at WEFTEC, the wastewater show taking place in San Diego, USA, in October. The pump series features modular construction, interchangeable vortex and channel impellers with adjustable wear ring system, efficient hydraulics with flows to 2,400 GPM and heads to 330 FT TDH. The pump also incorporates hi-efficiency, VFD rated motors with class H insulation, "fast change" cartridge double mechanical seals, moisture and thermal protection system, "fast lock-quick release" latch-bolts, wet pit, portable and grinder pump versions available.
The pump also includes an integral eco-friendly cooling system. "We call the integral cooling system "Eco-Friendly" because there are no environmental worries associated with the contained cooling solution - a mixture of water and glycol - during operation or maintenance of the pump," the company told World Pumps. "Most dry pit submersible pumps require cooling from an external source, or are cooled by circulating the foul pumpage itself internally around the motor in a special jacket, or cooled by use of an oil filled motor."
