Charity raffle for WaterAid
The British Pump Manufacturers' Association (BPMA) will be holding Grand Charity Raffle for its a chosen charity, WaterAid, at this year's Pump Industry Awards Gala Dinner, taking place on Tuesday 16th October 2007 at the Royal Court Hotel in Coventry.
At last year's event, £4,300 was raised through the generosity of the pump industry professionals and the BPMA would like to raise even more this year towards WaterAid's vital work.
WaterAid works with the world's poorest people to enable access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education. These basic human rights underpin health, education and livelihoods and form the first, essential step in overcoming poverty.
Pump companies can contribute in three easy ways :
1. Donate a raffle prize for the 'Grand Charity Raffle' - such as a food hamper or DVD player
2. Donate an auction prize - such as a helicopter flight or weekend break
3. Make a corporate donation to directly help improve conditions in the world's poorest countries.
Company support and participation will be profiled on the night itself and further media coverage will be provided through the pages of World Pumps, BSEE and Process & Control magazines, through the BPMA, World Pumps and the WaterAid newsletters and on www.pumpindustryawards.com, www.bpma.org.uk , www.wateraid.org and www.connectingindustry.com.
