Lightweight fire pump launched in Australia
Australian Pump Industries has released Aussie fire chief, a lightweight portable fire pump powered by a Kubota diesel engine.
The fire chief offers 100 psi, matched with a high flow of up to 450 litres per minute. It features good self priming characteristics with the ability to draft water from depths of as low as 7.6 m, its makers say.
This makes it suitable for high pressure fire fighting and also irrigation, high pressure water transfer or even machinery wash down applications.
The Aussie fire chief in its Kubota powered form comes in a heavy duty full steel roll frame with anti-vibration rubber mounts. The big fire fighting pump's unique design can lead to major fuel savings for users, with more litres of water being pumped per litre of fuel than other pumps, its makers says.
