Franklin Electric buys share in South Africa pumps company

 

International submersible motor manufacturer Franklin Electric is to acquire a 42% shareholding of a South African pump manufacturer for for an estimated 33 million rands (£2.387 million/US$4.665 million).

The shares in Pump Brands (Pumps), a pump manufacturer and wholesaler of pumps based in Johannesburg, South Africa, belong to Howden Africa Holdings Limited, a unit of Charter PLC's Howden Group PLC subsidiary.  

Pump Brands reportedly operates in the field of fluid power pumps and motors, pumps and pumping equipment, industrial machinery and equipment, automotive parts and supplies.
