New sizes for Larox peristaltic pump
Flow control specialist Larox Flowsys's LPP-D peristaltic pump is now available in ½, ¾ inch and 1 inch sizes for the water and wastewater market. The ½ inch pump has a flow rate of 2.6 gpm, while the ¾ inch has a flow rate of 4.4 gpm and the 1 inch a flow rate of 8.8gpm.
Larox says that its LPP and LPP-D pumps incorporate a rolling design is different from that of any other peristaltic pump on the market. The pump reportedly has the highest flow per compression of any peristaltic pump and the low-friction roller design compresses hose only once per revolution, which can give up to five times the hose life when compared to conventional hosepumps. It also maintains the lowest glycerin consumption of any peristaltic pump (96% less), the company says. It has ultra-low energy consumption when compared to other peristaltic pumps and maintains higher flow rates from a smaller pump size. It can also pump at the higher end of its speed range without fear of damaging the hose.
The pumps are suitable for most potable, municipal and industrial wastewater applications with applications including: lime slurry; alum; ferric chloride; sodium bisulfite; aqueous ammonia, fluoride potassium permanganate; sludge; under flow thickeners; lime slurry and sodium hypochlorite and metering.
