A crude oil processing vessel off the Norwegian coast required high-pressure pumps to extract natural gas. The expense of the limited floor space onboard was combated by shipping very compact monoblock diaphragm pumps. With the help of a police escort the packaging units were successfully delivered, allowing for increased productivity onboard.

Keeping things on an even keel
Constructing a massive off-shore liquid gas project required transporting temporary living quarters to the site by barge. During loading, the barge had to remain at a constant level with the wharf. To keep the barge steady, pumps had to fill the ballast tanks at a similar flow rate and SPP's Autoprime range fitted the bill.
