Flojet expands VersiJet pump series

Xylem’s Flojet brand has added a new, four-chamber model to its VersiJet series industrial motor driven diaphragm (MDD) pumps.

The new MDD pump has been designed to serve industrial applications requiring flow rates of between 3 and 5 gallons per minutes (GPM), the equivalent of approximately 11 to 19 liters per minute (LPM).

The new pump is the first four-chamber pump available under the Flojet VersiJet series and replaces the existing Flojet Quad series, offering higher pressure capabilities, greater ambient temperature resistance and longer pumping life. The pump head has been specifically designed with a cast aluminum lower housing for enhanced durability, handling a maximum pressure of up to 60 psi. Equivalent MDD pumps under the Flojet Quad Series currently handle a maximum pressure of 45 psi.

The new four-chamber pumps also offer improved heat resistance and have been tested to achieve temperature stabilization in elevated ambient conditions of 122°F (50°C). This capability opens up the four-chamber design to applications in markets requiring spraying or on-demand pumping in high temperature conditions. With this heat durability, the pump is suitable for use in heavy-duty applications like agriculture, farming and construction.

“The addition of the four-chamber MDD pump to our established VersiJet series will enhance our Flojet industrial pump portfolio significantly,” said Young Baeg, Associate Product Manager at Jabsco, Flojet, Rule. “By incorporating the robust qualities of our innovative VersiJet series into this new four-chamber design, we’re offering our industrial OEM customers increased pumping capabilities through a simplified portfolio.”

The new four-chamber VersiJet series industrial motor driven diaphragm pump is available to purchase globally.
