Unibloc acquires Standard Pump

Unibloc Pump has bought Standard Pump, a US manufacturer of hygienic process pumps based in Duluth, Georgia.

Co-founded in 1992 by Don Murphy, Standard Pump makes sanitary and industrial process pumps, including drum pumps and other fluid handling equipment. The company serves food and beverage, chemical, cosmetic, pharmaceutical and other diversified process manufacturing industries in more than 50 countries and has a 21 000 sq ft engineering, fabrication, testing, shipping and receiving facility in Duluth.

Standard Pump is currently led by Don Murphy’s sons, Chris Murphy as director of operations, and James Murphy as director of sales,. The Murphy brothers will now take on leadership roles within Unibloc.

Both Unibloc Pump and Standard Pump are located in the greater Atlanta metro area of Georgia.

This is the second acquisition in four months for Unibloc Pump, a May River Capital portfolio company. In September 2021, Unibloc announced its acquisition of Flotronic Pumps, a UK-based manufacturer of specialised hygienic, air-operated, double-diaphragm pumps and related accessories.
