The HI said that McKinstry, the Institute’s VP of technical affairs, is one of its most faithful and well-respected members. He has spent over 25 years working with the HI, developing standards, establishing effective processes, and educating the North American and global pump community.
Gregg Romanyshyn, HI technical director, said: “Dave McKinstry has an international reputation as a statesman for the pump industry and has demonstrated insightful wisdom as well as a unique combination of technical understanding and diplomatic acumen. He has consistently stepped forward to volunteer countless hours of his time to help shape and move the Institute forward. He has helped guide the technical teams with their tasks, and has always been available to consult with the HI leadership and attend meetings and conference calls as needed.”
The award was presented to McKinstry during the HI’s recent 2013 Annual meeting in Fort Myers, Florida.
