SPX says the EcoPureTM sanitary centrifugal pump has been designed to increase production efficiency and final product safety in industries such as food and beverage, dairy and pharmaceutical.
It uses high-powered drive magnets and efficient impellers in a design that does not include mechanical seals which the company says means reduced maintenance and a reduction in waste water streams associated with seal flushing.The pump uses heavy duty forged and machined wetted components to ensure durability in demanding process environments while the drive shaft maximizes rigidity to increase reliability and reduce vibration and noise. Designed for clean-in-place or sterilize-in-place operation, the pump is 3A and EHEDG compliant.
