Leybold, which is headquartered in Cologne, Germany, has about 1600 employees and had revenues of €340 million in 2015. The company’s vacuum solutions are used for applications such as automotive, metallurgy, coating of microchips, and the manufacturing of analytical instruments.
The agreement to acquire Leybold was announced last November.
