The aim of this UK annual event is to recognise excellence in the pump (and related product) industry. This year’s eight awards categories focus on rewarding products, services, companies and professionals and on March 27 2014 this year's winners will be announced.

The PI Awards 2014 call for nominations is heading towards its November entry deadline.

May be the efforts of an individual engineer has caught you attention. Or has a recent engineering project has impressed you?  Or perhaps a particular new product or system has out-performed expectations.  Have your enjoyed some significant reduction in energy use as a result of a new installation?  Or could it be that a particular manufacturer of distributor has delivered beyond the ‘call of duty’?

Whichever of the eight categories you decide to enter, you must do it soon,as the entry deadline is November 25.

The 2014 Ceremony, which will be held at Chesford Grange, Kenilworth, near Warwick, will be hosted by Helen Fospero, who works for ITV, regularly hosting Lorraine and Daybreak, and is also a regular broadcaster on BBC Radio Five Live.

After-Dinner entertainment will be provided by the 6’10″ ex England Rugby Player Martin Bayfield who will recount tales from his rugby career and his earlier life as a police officer.
