Nominations for Heart of Industry Award and Pulse of Industry Honour Roll closing soon

Nominations for the third annual Heart of Industry Awards and Pulse of Industry Honour Roll close at the end of this month. These recognition programmes were developed as part of Pump Appreciation Day – a worldwide celebration of pumps as the heart of industry that will take place Tuesday, April 8, sponsored by ITT Corporation’s Goulds Pumps, PRO Services and Bornemann brands.

“Pumps function as the heart of industry, and our organisation takes pride in celebrating the talented people and organisations that keep that heart beating smoothly and efficiently,” said Robert J Pagano Jr., president of  ITT’s Industrial Process business, which includes the Goulds Pumps, PRO Services and Bornemann brands.

“We seek to spotlight the companies and individuals that work so hard, usually behind the scenes, to literally keep industry moving. It’s an important part of Pump Appreciation Day, which is held the second Tuesday of April each year.”

The Heart of Industry Award recognises industrial operations for excellence in using pump technology to 'improve plant processing, satisfy customers and enhance our modern way of life'.

Honours will go to companies or plants nominated by Goulds Pumps, PRO Services and Bornemann sales offices and distributors, with a limit of one award winner per office. Organisations using Goulds Pumps products and services are encouraged to contact their distributors to learn more.

Anyone in a pump-related industry has the opportunity to submit nominations for the Pulse of Industry Honour Roll. This individual recognition programme is intended for people who want to commend co-workers and colleagues for their exceptional work in pump operations, maintenance or optimisation.A brief online nomination form is available at www.PumpAppreciationDay.com.

Chosen nominees for the Heart of Industry Award and the Pulse of Industry Honour Roll will be notified by e-mail and will also receive special recognition on Pump Appreciation Day.
