Pump and valve manufacturer Varna, a division of Transportation Research Corporation (TRC), has added the XD-4 oil pump to its pre-lube product line and optimized for wider applications, and the XD-9, a quiet-running 9 GPM vane pump for use with poor lubricity or low film strength fluids.
The XD-4 includes an integrated, direct coupled permanent motor and has capacity up to 4 gpm (15 L/m) with pressures up to 60 psi (4 bar). The pump features the whisper-vane positive displacement vane technology and is designed for transfer and circulating applications.
While the XD-4 pumping performance is very similar to its sister the EP-4, all running surfaces employ more durable materials to endow it with far greater life in non motor oil applications where good fluid lubricity is not a given.
The XD-9 is aimed for a wide variety of transfer and circulating applications with non-corrosive fluids such as oils, fuels and coolants. Built with long term industrial applications in mind, it can produce up to 100 psi (6.9 Bar) pressure. It is designed to perform with high viscosity fluids down to very cold temperatures.
