Founded in 1998, Trio Engineered Products designs and manufactures a range of crushers, screens, feeders, washers and material handling solutions for the aggregates and minerals markets. Based in Shanghai, China, where it has two manufacturing plants, Trio Engineered Products also has facilities in the US. The company employs around 700 people across its operations in China and the US.
Trio Engineered Products had revenues of US$108 million in 2013, with around 31% generated in North America, 25% in China, and the remaining 44% spread across Australia, South America, Africa and Europe. Revenues of around US$120 million are expected in 2014.
Trio Engineered Products is being acquired from majority owner Navis Capital and the company’s management team. The three Trio Engineered Products founders have agreed to remain with the company following the acquisition by Weir.
