The Hamworthy scope of supply includes engineering, reliquefaction plant and deep well cargo pumps.
Joe Oatley, chief executive of Hamworthy, said: “This is a breakthrough contract for Hamworthy in the small gas carrier market in China and gives the group a strategically important reference in this growing market. China is now the largest shipbuilder in the world and is producing more complex vessels with greater engineering requirements. This latest contract means we are in a strong position to benefit from China’s growing share of the gas carrier market.”
