ITT partners with Engineers Without Borders in Ethiopia

ITT’s contribution will help fund a project to improve the electrical infrastructure at the Mekelle School for the Blind. The redesigned system will better distribute the school’s limited power supply and will correct safety concerns associated with inadequate wiring and aging circuit breakers. The renovation, which is being led by students and faculty at the EWB-USA Washington University chapter, also includes the installation of an outdoor lighting system, improving safety on campus.

“Engineering is at the core of who we are and what we do, so we are pleased to have the opportunity to support this project, which will have such a positive impact within this community,” said Jenny Schiavone, ITT’s chief communications officer.
