The equipment consists of two SCE 10X8X16 booster pumps and two SM 6X13X10 main pumps.
The 2.3 MW driver for the SM pump is operated by a variable frequency drive.
Ruhrpumpen reports that the base plate, which will also carry the lube oil system, is a 3-point support version designed for offshore oil and gas platforms and FPSOs. The 3-point support will protect the pump unit from stresses resulting from the twisting of the ship.
The package will be placed on the Sevan Voyageur FPSO from Norwegian company Sevan Marine. This FPSO has a cylindrical design which makes it extremely stable.
The Sevan Voyageur is currently rented to EON Energy and operating in the Huntingdon oil field in the North Sea.
