After 18 years in the Flowserve group, Pleuger Industries, the German manufacturer of submersible motor pumps, is once again an independent company.

The Flacks Group, a US private investment group, has bought Pleuger Industries from Flowserve and the strategic management of the German company has now returned to its headquarters in Hamburg.

Pleuger Industries, which was part of Flowserve from 2000 to 2018, supplies submersible motor pumps, plunger pumps and thrusters that are made in Germany. Pleuger pumps are used worldwide in the energy, mining, water and oil & gas industries.

The company has a 90-year history and employs more than 200 people. With a new logo and “Power – Pumps – Propulsion” tagline, the pump specialist says it is underlining its strengths as an inventor and manufacturer of submersible motor pumps.

In addition to the Pleuger locations in Orleans, France, and Hamburg, Germany, further locations in the USA and Russia will be added shortly. From there, Pleuger Industries intends to build up its portfolio in the oil & gas markets and develop additional market share in the water, general industry and energy sectors.
