Ebara's seminars on pumps for Cambodia's main water suppliers were well attended.

In August, Ebara held seminars for the main water suppliers of Cambodia who are members of the Cambodia Water Supply Association (CWA). The seminars were held jointly by three companies: City of Kitakyushu, Yasukawa Electric Corporation, and Ebara.

High electricity costs

The availability of energy in Cambodia is becoming unreliable and there are projections of coming high electricity costs within Southeast Asia. The reduction in electricity consumption will be a major requirement for buildings and other commercial facilities. This will be a key advantage for Ebara’s pumps introduced to the audience at the seminars, as the pumps can conserve energy while in operation.

At the seminars there were approximately 78 participants, consisting of public and private water supply, and sewage related operators. It is reported that many of the participants showed great interest in the Ebara pumps' technological capabilities in speed control and estimated constant end-pressure control, and their ability to save energy.
