Hayward Tyler wins Swedish nuclear contract

The Hayward Tyler major assemblies will be housed within the reactor and incorporate additional stretch tubes and impeller assemblies designed to work in high pressure and extreme temperature environments. Hayward Tyler has 18 motors installed at Forsmark.

The order is due to be fulfilled over the next 24 months.

Ewan Lloyd-Baker, CEO of Hayward Tyler, said: “This latest contract win forms part of our Nuclear Excellence Drive. With the “N” Stamp approval in place in the US and acceptance onto the CNSIG Programme in the UK, we believe we are in an excellent position to extend our presence in the nuclear market given we now have over 1000 pumps in active service globally. With an estimated 490 nuclear power stations planned worldwide by 2030, this presents a huge opportunity for growth in a market which we know well.”

Hayward Tyler was recently accepted onto the Civil Nuclear Sharing in Growth Programme (CNSIG), which targets the UK manufacturing supply chain for civil nuclear in new build, operations and decommissioning and aims to help UK companies win work in the nuclear industry in the UK and abroad.
