ITT’s lines of Goulds Pumps, Engineered Valves and Monitoring & Controls equipment designed for the power industry were highlighted at Florida's Power-Gen International Show this month. Product innovation introductions at the show included ITT Goulds Pumps’ brand Double Suction Vertical Pumps – five models that can be customised to conform to power market project specifications.
Patented design features enable each model of the VIDS (Vertical Industrial Double Suction) line to provide operation over extended lifecycles, low-NPSH (Net Positive Suction Head) performance, a comprehensive range of hydraulic fits and the capability to process high levels of suspended solids. Also featured at Power-Gen were Goulds Pumps’ Vertical Circulating Water Pumps (Model VCW), which provide reliability, performance and versatility in power applications. A patented “O” head design delivers consistent flow and eliminates potential resonance frequencies through comprehensive finite element analysis.
Optional wear rings on the impeller and diffuser/suction bell reduce downtime and costly repairs. An innovative “pull-out” design option allows easy removal of the pumps’ inner element, simplifying maintenance by eliminating the need to drain or enter the pump.
