Indian pump manufacturer, Kirloskar Brothers Ltd (KBL) has been helping its customers during the Covid-19 lockdown with its intelligent IoT remote pump monitoring system called KirloSmart.

Travel restrictions in many parts of India during lockdown have made it difficult for service teams to physically reach locations. KBL’s intelligent pump monitoring system, KirloSmart, has enabled the user to remotely monitor the pump by measuring and transmitting its analytical field parameters on KBL’s web-based portal and interactive mobile app. Users can then remotely monitor pump health  and operational behaviour from smart devices such as laptops and mobile phones.

The KirloSmart technology, with built-in analytics and spare management modules, generates alerts for the probable causes of pump failure, enabling quick diagnosis and resolution of issues.

KirloSmart has proved to be a vital technology during the Covid-19 lockdown with government-imposed restrictions on movement. Users have still been able to access pump health parameters irrespective of where they are. Even in a post-Covid-19 world, remotely-operated technologies will take on increasing importance and KirloSmart is expected to be the preferred option for monitoring pump parameters.
