Flowserve to supply pumps, seals and services to Caspian Pipeline Consortium

10 August 2010

Flowserve Corp has received a multi-million dollar order from the Caspian Pipeline Consortium to supply mainline crude oil pumps, mechanical seals and support systems, and upgrades to existing pump units.

Prior to this order, Flowserve provided services to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium through an existing long-term, performance-based, rotating equipment maintenance contract.

“As a worldwide provider of flow control technology to the oil and gas industry, Flowserve has a significant opportunity to further expand our presence in this important region through this order,” said Tom Ferguson, president, Flowserve Flow Solutions Group.

Caspian Pipeline Consortium is the largest operating investment pipeline project in Russia and connects the oil fields in Western Kazakhstan with the new Marine Terminal in Russia. By 2014, the Caspian Pipeline Consortium plans to expand pipeline capacity to 67 million tons per year by increasing the number of pump stations and upgrading existing units.
