Blackmer has designed this new pump primarily for the food, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals industries where a low shear force is required and liquids containing solids in suspension are encountered, the company says.
The BLK Hy-clean can be easily integrated into existing production lines as it has a modular design (vertical porting) and compact size. It is suitable for both CIP and SIP cleaning regimes, and maintenance can be performed in-place without the need to dismantle piping. Blackmer’s rotary lobe pump is compliant with EHEDG, FDA and 3A regulations.
The five models within the pump range offer reversible suction and discharge and can accommodate applications for flow rates between 1.8 and 115.8 m³/h and pressures up to 12 bar.
