ITT Fluid and Motion Control appoints chief technology officer

Dr Johan Grön is the new chief technology officer (CTO) of ITT Corp’s global Fluid and Motion Control group.

Dr Grön, 44, joins ITT from Finnish chemicals group Kemira Oyj where he has been executive vice president of research, development and technology, and a member of the management board since 2008.

In this newly created role based in White Plains, New York, Dr Grön will set strategy for new ITT Fluid and Motion Control product processes and tools, and drive the optimisation of technology resources and investments for ITT’s commercial businesses serving the water, wastewater and industrial markets.
 
“ITT has a strong heritage of leading-edge solutions, and we want to build on that with the creation of new breakthrough technologies and system solutions. Johan’s broad global background will be critical to this endeavour as ITT continues to provide innovative solutions to global challenges including resource scarcity and today's highly mobile, networked society,” said Gretchen McClain, president of ITT Fluid and Motion Control.
