Full stroke diaphragms for AODD pumps

15 February 2011

Wilden has developed a new range of full stroke PTFE (Teflon) diaphragms for use on all of its air operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pump lines.

The diaphragms will be on display at chemical trade show Interphex 2011, which takes place from 29 to 31 March, 2011, in New York, NY, USA.

Wilden says that the diaphragms provide considerable suction capability along with increased flow and suction performance. They are designed to withstand common steam sterilization temperatures, and comply with FDA material compatibility requirements and for uses requiring USP Class VI certification for critical biopharmaceutical applications.
Wilden will also show its Hygienic Series (HS) family of pumps at Interphex. The pumps now offer high flow rates (230 gpm) and a cleanable design for biopharmaceutical processes. These pumps are suitable for applications that require negative suction lift or self-priming capability, compatibility and full containment with hazardous products.
