AODD diaphragms for paint and coatings duties

14 June 2011

Wilden has developed a new range of full stroke PTFE (Teflon) diaphragms for use on its air operated double diaphragm (AODD) pump lines that are used in paint and coatings manufacture.

Wilden says that the full-stroke design of the diaphragms improves the reliability of pump performance in paint and coatings applications. This is the result of increased product displacement per stroke, which translates into greater flow rates and higher efficiencies than are found in pumps that operate with reduced-stroke PTFE diaphragms.

The full stroke PTFE diaphragms use the same shaft and piston combinations as Wilden’s standard rubber and TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) diaphragms, and are easily retrofittable to existing pumps without the need for any extra components.

The diaphragms are available on Wilden’s bolted-configuration 25mm (1 in), 38mm (1.5 in) and 76mm (3 in) stainless-steel and aluminium Advanced Series Metal AODD pumps, which are suitable for paint and coatings manufacturing.
