Spread over six acres, the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Karumathampatti near Coimbatore has an installed capacity of 250 000 domestic pump units in the first phase and 500 000 units in the second phase.
The new facility will strengthen Kirloskar Brothers’ distribution network in the fast growing market for the domestic pumps in southern India
The plant was inaugurated by Sanjay Kirloskar, Kirloskar Brothers chairman and managing director.
“The new plant at Coimbatore is all set to take KBL’s success story further. With this new investment, we are eyeing at becoming a leading player in the market for small domestic pumps as well. Presently we have a much smaller share of this market as our focus had been more on the industrial range of pumps so far,” said Sanjay Kirloskar.
