HI opens registration for 2011 autumn meeting

Registration is open for the Hydraulic Institute (HI)‘s fall (autumn) meeting, which will take place on 4–8 October 2011, at The Adolphus Hotel in Dallas, Texas, USA.

Registration is now open to HI members, associate members, standards partners, and utilities, energy efficiency NGOs and sponsors of Pump Systems Matter.  Eligible prospective members are welcome to attend with advance approval. Registration can be completed at www.Pumps.org/11Fall.

This year’s meeting will focus on performance management, crucial conversations, supply chain strategies, pump knowledge updates, and standards development. Special presentations on these subjects will be delivered by topic experts and include:

  • Holistic approach to performance management and talent development with Todd Cook, founder of Concinnity Consulting
  • Supply chain challenges and opportunities with Dr. Ted Stank, bruce chair of excellence in business and supply chain management, University of Tennessee.

All CEO attendees are invited to participate in the bi-annual CEO roundtable event that will feature group discussions on topic of common interest and a presentation and discussion on tackling difficult conversations to increase profits facilitated by Todd Cook.

A technical presentation by industry experts is also on the agenda covering smart grid technology by energy specialists from Schneider Electric – Square D and Siemens Industry, Inc.

Nearly thirty HI Technical Committees will meet to review and advance specific bodies of knowledge and work that ultimately will result in the development of new or updated ANSI/HI Pump Standards.  Attendees with particular topic interest or subject matter expertise will have the opportunity to participate in these technical meetings. 

HI is offering a 50% discount on registration to individuals at member companies who are under the age of thirty-five and have served less than ten years in the pump industry.
