Chemically-resistant gear pumps from Michael Smith Engineers

01 November 2011

Michael Smith Engineers has added the HNP 11558 micro annular gear pump to the range of HNP MZR internal gear pumps.

The HNP 15588 pump features chemically resistant materials, including ceramics for bearings and shaft, rotors of zirconium oxide and alloy C22 for case components in its key components. It also incorporates a magnetic coupling to ensure leak-free pumping.

The HNP 115588 pump from Michael Smith Engineers can deliver smooth, precise pulse-less flows (CV<1% at low volumes) at high differential pressures up to 60 bar and is suitable for critical fluids handling applications.

This pump measures 301 x 130 x 129 mm (L,W,H) and weighs around 12 kg and delivers flow rates from 0.19 ml/min up to 1152 ml/min. It incorporates a brushless precision motor with a 500 count per rotation encoder.

Suitable applications for HNP pumps include pumping organic compounds in continuous processing systems in pharmaceuticals manufacturing, pulse-less small capacity dosing of flavours and additives in food processing equipment and filling of medical capsules.
