HCP dewatering range includes cooling system

15 November 2011

Taiwanese submersible pump specialist HCP Pump Manufacturer Co Ltd has developed a new range of submersible dewatering pumps that incorporate a built-in water-cooling system.

The IC series submersible dewatering pump can be installed either in dry-pit or wet-pit configuration. The pumped liquid inside the water-cooling jacket flows around the stator housing, transmitting motor heat during operation. As a result, the motor offers high efficiency, low power consumption and an extended life time.

HCP’s IC series can also be installed on the ground surface or in-line with its piping system providing non-submerged operation. In this case, the pump is usually equipped with an extra check valve which is installed in the flow entry of the pump bottom.  The submersible pumps also feature an outer cover made of stainless steel SUS304 and a shaft seal system which includes a silicon carbide mechanical seal and a set of oil seals, thus helping improve durability.

The IC series is suitable for agriculture field irrigation, driving water circulation systems, supplying water to aquaculture farming and dewatering of construction sites, amongst other applications.
