Name change for Wirth

30 June 2009

Wirth Maschinen- und Bohrgeräte-Fabrik GmbH has changed its name to Aker Wirth GmbH, following Aker Solutions’ acquisition of the German pump manufacturer earlier this year.

“Our transition to Aker Wirth reinforces our commitment to our customers and employees and strengthens our position in the global market,” said Christoph Kleuters, CEO of Aker Wirth.

“The Wirth name is a valuable asset and will live on in the legal entity name and product names of the company,” said Per Harald Kongelf, executive vice president of Aker Solutions.
