ITT C’treat in $2.6 million deal with Dragados Offshore

25 November 2009

An offshore oil platform in the Bay of Campeche is the subject of the deal in which ITT Goulds pumps and ITT C’treat will supply the entire potable and process water systems necessary for maintaining life support systems on-board the oil platform.

Dragados Offshore Mexico selected ITT C’treat for the oil platform because it can provide all the necessary components for the project, such as; the submersible seawater lift pumps, seawater hydropneumatic system, sodium hypochlorite generator, seawater filters, reverse osmosis watermakers, potable water pumps, potable water hydropneumatic system and a barge water filter.

Jose A Garcia-Figueras, Offshore Mexico project director at Dragados said: “The main focus on a platform is oil production, but if critical support systems fail, production stops. The water systems we install must be made of reliable equipment to ensure that freshwater availability does not become a concern for platform managers. We are confident that ITT’s C’treat system will deliver on that promise.”
