To really know how the industry has changed during the lifetime of World Pumps, you have to have been a part of it. Here, we present some insights from four professionals who have witnessed and moved with the changes of five decades in the pump industry.
  • Multiphase pumps – the path to success
Multiphase pump technology is a relatively new technology, and its development was marked by a number of test projects in which successful results paved the way to its effective use today. Bornemann, which supplied the pumps to be tested, looks at how initial installation problems were resolved so that the pumps could fulfill their potential.

Moyno Tri-Phase system for oil and gas industry

26 November 2009

The progressing cavity solution from Moyno is designed for multiphase pumping applications, allowing fluids at the well site, including oil, water and gas, to be transported simultaneously through one pipeline to a central processing station.

The abrasion-resistance of the Moyno Tri-Phase system also allows for smooth transfer of sandy fluid and the unit is capable of generating flow rates up to 60,000 BFPD with suction pressures up to 900 PSI and discharge pressures up to 1,200 PSI.

Other features of the Moyno Tri-Phaze system include a stator elastomer formulation which exhibits resistance to aromatics, handling of gas void fractions up to 99%, low-shear pumping action which preserves each fluid’s characteristics without emulsification or degradation, extended well production life and decreased well bore pressures.
