Grundfos pumps provide clean water in Haiti

29 January 2010

Grundfos SQFlex pumping systems are currently supplying clean water for 20 000–30 000 people in Haiti.

US aid organisation Water Missions International has been installing purchased Grundfos SQFlex pumping systems in Haiti since the earthquake on 12 January 2010. Water Missions International has co-operated with Grundfos for a number of years and was already installing SQFlex systems in Haiti when the earthquake happened.

A total of nine Grundfos pumps have been installed so far. Another three pumps have arrived in Haiti and they will be installed as soon as suitable locations are found. An additional 20 Grundfos pumping systems are in transit and are ready to be flown to Haiti.

In addition to these pumping systems, the Poul Due Jensen Foundation recently decided to donate 20 Grundfos SQFlex pumping systems to the relief work in Haiti.
