  • The impact of the US Energy Policy Act on the pumps industry
While the US Energy Policy Act of 2005 focused mainly on alternative energy sources, reducing dependence on foreign sources of oil and increasing domestic energy production, its emphasis on energy efficiency has had a direct effect on pump users and manufacturers. Mouvex A-Series pumps for viscous, non-lubricating, volatile or delicate chemicals

23 February 2010

The A-Series eccentric disc pumps from Mouvex are designed for use in chemical processing plants which manufature products such as detergents, glue, inks and paints

The ATEX certified A-Series pumps from Mouvex feature a double-bypass for protection when the pump is operating in both directions. The pumps have a high temperature HT model which enables product transfer up to 250ºC (482ºF) as well as heating or cold jackets for transferring products which can solidify at ambient temperatures.

The eccentric-disc design of the A-Series pumps allow for self-priming and pipe-clearing capabilities, even when running dry. This eccentric-disc principle of operation, which includes an automatic make-up system, also allows the pumps to maintain their initial performance level without the need for adjustments. The pumps are versatile, maintaining a regular and constant output, even if the viscosity of the fluid changes considerably.
