Flowserve receives order in excess of $15 million from State Nuclear Power Engineering Company

The order for ASME Section III safety-related globe and gate valves, and Flowserve Limitorque actuators will be used at the Westinghouse nuclear power plant in China

The Westinghouse design AP1000(TM) Sanmen and Haiyang Unit 2 nuclear power plants using the Flowserve valves and actuators, are under construction in the Zhejiang and Shandong provinces. The power plants are scheduled to be operational in June 2014 and January 2015, respectively.
 

Mark Blinn, Flowserve president and chief executive officer said: “This order further strengthens our long-standing relationship with the Chinese nuclear power industry and with our customer, State Nuclear Power Engineering Company Ltd. We are proud to be a part of renewable energy production in China, which will reduce emissions and improve the environment.”
