Griswold Pump's new impeller for centrifugal range

07 May 2010

Griswold Pump’s 811 Series ANSI centrifugal range is now available with a 17 in impeller, making it suitable for high capacity transfer within large storage terminal operations.

The centrifugal pumps from Griswold Pumps feature open impellers with two times the wear area of a closed design, which helps improve the performance of the pump’s open impeller and allows renewable performance. This also minimizes concentrated wear by balancing the hydraulic axial thrust load and reducing the stuffing-box pressure and making it easier to handle corrosive, abrasive, solid and stringy material.

Casings of the 811 Series pumps can be made of ductile iron, 316 stainless steel, CD4MCu or alloy 20.
The centrifugal pumps are suitable for transfer applications found within storage terminal operations, such as petroleum, biofuels, chemicals and vegetable oils.
